On the afternoon of May 17, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) organized a conference to review science and technology (S&T) and innovation (STI) tasks on the occasion of Vietnam Science and Technology Day, May 18.

Attending the program were Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Long – Rector; the Vice Rectors; representatives of the leadership of units and specialized faculties; lecturers, experts, and students representing groups with outstanding achievements in scientific research and innovation activities in the 2023–2024 academic year.

Speaking at the conference, Dr. Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng – Vice Rector of the University – emphasized that in the 2023–2024 academic year, with the tireless efforts of the staff, lecturers, scientists, and students, we have achieved several remarkable accomplishments in the University’s student admissions; accreditation of 11 training programs; expansion of 11.4 hectares of land in Hanoi; and, in particular, notable achievements in scientific research.

The number of research works by lecturers and students published in prestigious domestic and international scientific journals has increased, and projects for the development of new material technologies have been and are making a positive impact on society. This not only affirms the position of the University of Transport Technology in the field of science and technology but is also evidence of the continuous dedication of the University’s lecturers, scientists, and students. The efforts of each individual have made an important contribution to improving the quality of training and scientific research, while also promoting innovation and the application of technology in practice.

Academic activities, seminars, and creative competitions are regularly organized, creating a dynamic and creative training and learning environment for students. The University has strengthened cooperation with research institutes and universities at home and abroad, opening many opportunities for academic exchange, scientific research, and technology transfer. However, there are also some challenges such as changes in the global research environment, pressures from innovation requirements, and increasingly fierce domestic and international competition, requiring us to continuously improve and innovate.
