UTT continues its collaboration with Hauts-de-France Polytechnic University

On January 6, 2025, at Hauts-de-France Polytechnic University (UPHF), France, the signing ceremony for the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the University of Transport Technology (UTT) and Hauts-de-France Polytechnic University took place.

Attending the signing ceremony, on behalf of UPHF, were Mr. Abdelhakim Artiba – Rector, and Mr. Armel de la Bourdonaye – Director of the National Institute of Applied Sciences Hauts-de-France. Representing UTT were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Long – Rector, Dr. Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng – Vice Rector, Dr. Nguyễn Long Khánh – Director of the Institute for Training and International Cooperation, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trần Văn Quân – Deputy Director of the Institute for Training and International Cooperation.

Since establishing their partnership in 2015, both institutions have achieved significant milestones. Currently, nearly 20 students from the University of Transport Technology (UTT) are studying at UPHF in the fields of sustainable transportation, logistics, and technology. Many graduates from this collaborative program have achieved excellent results and made valuable contributions to key industries.

According to the agreement, UTT will send PhD candidates to study and conduct research at UPHF’s laboratories under the Vietnamese Government’s Project 89 scholarship program. Both institutions will also collaborate in organizing scientific conferences and developing joint research projects on railway transportation. Additionally, UTT will continue to send students to study in fields such as sustainable transportation, logistics, informatics, electronics, and management. The two universities will also work together to establish a dual-degree program at the Bachelor's and Master's levels.

The extension of the Memorandum of Understanding not only expands research opportunities in advanced laboratories but also enhances access to international training programs, fostering a sustainable partnership and promoting the comprehensive development of both institutions.

Over the years, the University of Transport Technology has continuously expanded and strengthened its collaborations with enterprises, educational institutions, and reputable research institutes both domestically and internationally. This effort has not only improved the quality of education but also created numerous internship and job opportunities for students while promoting scientific research, innovation, and technology transfer.

Additionally, the university actively participates in international cooperation projects, faculty and student exchange programs to adopt advanced teaching methodologies and modern technologies. Close collaboration with various partners also enables the university to update its curricula to align with the practical needs of the labor market, contributing to the training of high-quality human resources that meet socio-economic development demands. Through these efforts, the University of Transport Technology continues to affirm its position and reputation within Vietnam’s higher education system and extend its influence on an international scale.
