MOU Singing between Transit Service Resource (TSR) - Russia and University of Transport Technology.

On July 12th 2016, the General Director of Transit Service Resource (TSR) – Russian Federation, Mr. Bazhenov Alexander Vladimirovich visited and worked with the University of Transport Technology (UTT). On behalf of UTT were Dr. Vu Ngoc Khiem - Vice Rector, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long – Vice Rector, Dr. Ngo Quoc Trinh – Head of Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, senior researchers and experts from UTT Center for Materials and Pavement.

Transit Service Resource (TSR) is a provider of high-quality road bitumen, especially in hard-to-reach and remote regions. TSR has supplied the packed bitumen to Kamchatka peninsula, Sakhalin, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Zabaikalye territory, Primorski Krai, Khabarovsk Krai, Magadan, Sochi, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Germany, etc.

An Memorandum of Understanding has been signed by both sides to facilitate the cooperation in researching for transferring technologies in the areas of polime bitumen and new materials for road construction in Vietnam. Under the cooperation framework, UTT has conducted laboratory testing and research works to evaluate the feasibilities of TSR polime bitumen under Vietnamese Standard - 22TCN 319-04. The research team is planning to work on the field trail on the Expressway Noi Bai – Lao Cai in the months to come. 

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Vu Ngoc Khiem warmly welcomed the delegation visited the UTT and identified that this is an opportunity for both sides to be able to directly discuss areas of concern. Dr. Vu Ngoc Khiem appreciated the role and prestige of INSA in the training system in France and confirmed that Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are prioritized training majors of UTT. UTT are willing for cooperation with the INSA group in training, scientific researching and technology transfer.

The General Director, Mr. Bazhenov Alexander Vladimirovich thanked Dr. Vu Ngoc Khiem for the warmly welcome and close meeting and committed that he would actively promote research activities between TSR and UTT to be most effective. Dr. Vu Ngoc Khiem appreciated the TSR technologies and confirmed that UTT will make the favorable conditions for researchers and lecturers to participate in all cooperation with TSR with highest effort and expertise.
