UTT Signs Cooperation Agreement with ITM on Student Internships and Employment in Japan

On February 16, 2023, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement with the ITM Human Resource and Information Technology Development Joint Stock Company at its Hanoi campus.
Attending the ceremony on behalf of UTT were Dr. Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng, Vice President; Dr. Ngô Quốc Trinh, Head of the Department of Science, Technology, and International Cooperation; Dr. Hoàng Văn Lâm, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Transport Economics; and Dr. Nguyễn Long Khánh, Deputy Director in charge of the Center for Training, Study Abroad Consulting, and International Employment.
Representing ITM were Mr. Trần Anh Trung, CEO; Mr. Lưu Danh Tuyến, Deputy CEO of ITM; representatives from Daiwa Plastics; Mr. Vũ Văn Nhân, Deputy CEO of Vinamex; and other executives from ITM.

Overview of the Signing Ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement between UTT and ITM

At the beginning of the meeting, Vice President Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng emphasized that UTT prioritizes developing policies and joint training programs while expanding partnerships with businesses to enhance the quality of human resources. The goal is to cultivate highly skilled professionals who contribute to socio-economic development, ensuring that education is always closely linked to practical applications.
During the signing ceremony, Dr. Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng, Vice President of UTT, and Mr. Trần Anh Trung, CEO of ITM Human Resource and Information Technology Development Joint Stock Company, signed an agreement outlining the cooperation framework between the two parties.
Under this agreement, over the next five years, ITM, in collaboration with Vinamex, will continue to implement high-quality Japanese language training programs. These programs will connect UTT students with suitable internship opportunities at companies in Japan that align with their fields of study. Additionally, the agreement ensures comprehensive support for students before, during, and after their internships abroad, covering legal policies, living conditions, and academic needs to facilitate a smooth experience.

The leaders of both parties expressed their joy and confidence that this cooperation agreement would open up numerous opportunities, providing UTT students with a new environment for learning and gaining practical experience.
Immediately after the signing ceremony, the company representatives awarded a scholarship to Nguyễn Hải Long, a student from class 69DCOJ11, majoring in Automotive Engineering, in recognition of his outstanding academic achievements. Additionally, they bid farewell to a group of UTT students who will be departing for their internships at Japanese companies this February.

Student Nguyễn Hải Long Receives Scholarship from Daiwa Plastics, Japan

Mr. Nguyễn Duy Thành, representing ITM, introduced the internship program at Japanese enterprises. In this internship batch, four UTT students will be interning at three companies: Daiwa Plastics, Nippon Express, and Vantec—all major Japanese firms specializing in transportation, logistics services, and packaging.
Before the students embark on their internships in Japan, Dr. Ngô Quốc Trinh, Head of the Department of Science, Technology, and International Cooperation, advised them to embrace their role as "UTT ambassadors." He encouraged them to cultivate discipline, professionalism, and a strong learning spirit as they engage with Japan’s advanced technological environment. He expressed hope that they would uphold and further the university’s traditions through their experiences abroad.
