UTT signs cooperation agreement with MIDAS IT Company, South Korea

On August 15, 2023, at the Hanoi campus, the University of Transport Technology organized a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement with MIDAS IT, a South Korean company known for its outstanding achievements in the construction software industry.

Attending the signing ceremony from the university were Dr. Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng – Vice Rector; Dr. Ngô Quốc Trinh – Head of the Department of Science, Technology, and International Cooperation; Dr. Ngô Thị Thanh Hương – Head of the Civil Engineering Department; Dr. Phùng Bá Thắng – Deputy Head of the Civil Engineering Department, along with other department leaders, staff, and lecturers from the Civil Engineering Department of the University of Transport Technology.

Representing MIDAS IT were Mr. Alex Yoon – Global General Manager; Mr. Eddie Hong – Asia Operations Manager; and Mr. Ken Park – Business Development Manager for Vietnam.
 

Overview of the signing ceremony for the cooperation agreement.

During the meeting, Dr. Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng, Vice Rector of the university, provided an overview of the university's history and development to the partner company. He highlighted that over its more than 70 years of existence, many training programs in the Civil Engineering Department have been established, achieving outstanding results in both teaching and scientific research since the university's inception.

With the mission of training high-quality human resources tailored for the transportation sector in Vietnam, the university is highly focused on enhancing international cooperation in education and scientific research, integrating modern technologies into the teaching process for students.

According to the signed agreement, the University of Transport Technology and MIDAS IT will enhance comprehensive cooperation in applied research and the development of science and technology in the fields of construction and transportation infrastructure. The collaboration will include integrating modern software developed by MIDAS IT into the curriculum for students in the Civil Engineering Department. Additionally, both parties will organize workshops and training courses to share experiences and leverage the strengths of both institutions.

Representatives of both organizations signed the memorandum of cooperation.

Equipping the staff and students of the Civil Engineering Department with software will enhance their ability to grasp modern technologies, improve the professional skills of the faculty, and create numerous opportunities for practical experience for students at the University of Transport Technology.

It is hoped that the upcoming cooperative activities between the two organizations will be implemented as planned, bringing new opportunities and contributing to the strengthening of the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and South Korea.
